The Incomplete Cubes NFT Collection started as a happy accident. I was exploring different geometries to make my patterns. When the NFTs came around I saw an enormous potential for digital art. Sadly, it has turned out to be a speculative market for rather childish illustrations of apes.

Annoyed by the lost potential, I decided to use my Cubes for a Collection to bring something that is rather architectural and abstract to the NFT world of flashy colors.

After looking more into NFT collections, I realized the power lies in the properties. So I did analyze all my cubes with a script and it is rather interesting how to define characteristics on rather similar geometries. From an architectural standpoint, I loved it, the form described by the properties.

The website I have created explains the process as well as the properties available for the cubes. Have a look.

A project I started while still living in New York. Text below

The most destructive financial crisis hits the world economy in 2038. Not even all carefully planned interventions by the finance elite could restart the markets and the global economy lies in shambles.
Following months of decline, despair, and chaos, politicians and economists alike lose faith in the markets and seek help in superstition. A 200m wide ring is erected above the financial district of New York, fairly balanced on three-point supports. The ring is slim in diameter and evaporates 100m³ of blessed water in the form of steam. A group of priests is exercising the ministry of absolution on the water before it is being pumped up only to descend as steam down to Wall Street and the surrounding financial district. A desperate effort to cleanse the market from its past sins and in hope that this absolution will be able to reconcile the fallout that capitalism brought upon the planet.

I have always wanted architecture that makes an impact. A somewhat big intervention to cityscapes. Geometries floating in the sky. Besides that, I loved to cloud a complete city.
